"A RELAXED PEAR"
24" x 30", Acrylic on Canvas
The relaxed Pear is simply that. A pear taking it easy on a hammock. Just like most peoples vision of a relaxed afternoon. He nearly landed a Pina Colada on its belly but I figured he was even too lazy to hold onto it. Some would say that the artist paints artworks that relate subconsciously back to them. In this case, I have no reason to doubt this theory.
The idea started in 2010. I was painting a tropical scene and I couldn't get it right. You could say it was going pear shaped..... So I did exactly that as you will see in the small image below. I also have had a giggle by putting the thongs on the background pears.
