Commissions

Do you do commissions?

I’m often asked if I do commissions. Yes I do! I love connecting with collectors over my ideas and inspiration.

So how does it work?

I like to think that the process of acquiring my work is fun. It would start with figuring out which of my works caught your eye. A lot of my pieces are a part of an evolving story line and once I have identified what floats your boat, I would present a range of sketches and ideas in that particular direction. From there I like to find out a little more about you which often helps evolve the story behind the piece.

First right of refusal

I work on a first right of refusal basis. This means I will go ahead and create the piece based on my vision, and if you like it once complete, it is yours. If not, we can go ahead and have another go at it. I have a long list of hungry collectors that will snap up any available work in one way or another, so a piece will always find a home if it doesn't suit you.

How long does it take?

There is roughly a 10-12 month waiting period for commissioned works. There’s some flexibility in this depending on the size and complexity of each artwork, so please get in touch if you have any questions about the timeline.

Do you need a deposit?

I’m happy to work on a first right of refusal basis in most cases which doesn’t require a deposit.

However, in the case that a proposed commission is more personalized and not aligned with my current body of work in which case I cannot move it on to my collectors, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required and we set up a contract which outlines the terms of the commission.
