"THE VENUS PEAR TRAP"

The Venus Pear trap! I was originally going to call it Five Skies as it literally had 5 skies before I figured out which one it wanted. Blue was first then a whole range of ideas before the finished idea. In the end and purely by accident it turned into an apocalyptic dream that needed a better fitting title. I think it deserves its name. I could see a range of other fruits and vegetables getting caught up in its stems. Then devoured!
The images below are a part of the process and it was even displayed in the Four Seasons Hotel in Vancouver for a month. The Gentleman next to me in the photo is Derek Heslop, owner of the Howe Street Gallery. Fun times.
